Nepal’s Himalayan landscape is famous for both its wild beauty and dangerous, inhospitable environment. HMMD has launched a design competition inviting architecture enthusiasts worldwide to design a Himalayan Mountain Hut that provides safe, comfortable, and inviting lodgings for trekkers to Mount Everest and its surrounding peaks. The weather-resilient hut must be designed to hold a maximum of 20 occupants for one week and be suitable for adaptation and replication across the area’s many trails.
